No kde je vôľa, tam je aj cesta,“ píše drzo TV Markíza na svojej internetovej stránke v článku pod rovnako drzým názvom Zdalo sa to nemožné, no napokon skončili pri oltári: Roman a Štěpán si povedali áno v rímskokatolíckom kostole. Na stránke je aj reportáž Markízy k tejto poburujúcej udalosti, ktorá je natočená spôsobom, akoby išlo o romantickú svadbu mladého muža a mladej ženy, no opak je pravdou: za ruky sa držia dvaja muži. Obwohl sie noch nicht mit Wasser getauft war, verteidigte sie während einer Verfolgung öffentlich die Christen. Weil sie Götzendiener zurechtwies, wurde sie von einem Mob gesteinigt und starb betend am Grab der heiligen Agnes. Die Kirche verehrt sie als Jungfrau und Märtyrerin und lehrt, dass sie „nicht mit Wasser, sondern mit ihrem eigenen Blut getauft wurde“. Ihr Leben ist ein Zeugnis für die Lehre von der Bluttaufe.
hl. Emerentiana - Gedenktag katholisch: 23. Januar Die heilige Emerentiana war eine römische Märtyrerin, die Mitte des 3. oder zu Beginn des 4. Jahrhunderts lebte. Nach der Legende der heiligen Agnes von Rom war Emerentiana eine Sklavin, ihre Mutter war Agnes’ Amme und Kinderfrau. Agnes war eine reiche römische Erbin, die den Märtyrertod starb, weil sie dem Christentum nicht abschwören wollte. Einige Tage nach Agnes’ Tod ging Emerentiana als Katechumene (d. h. in Vorbereitung auf die Taufe) zu ihrem Grab, um zu beten, und wurde dabei von einer Menschenmenge angegriffen und gesteinigt. Ihr Gedenktag ist der 23. Januar. Sie wird als junges Mädchen dargestellt, das entweder Steine in ihrem Schoß und Lilien in der Hand hat oder von der Menge gesteinigt wird. Recent activities undertaken by local individuals who advance damaging ideologies, such as Christian Zionism, mislead the public, sow confusion, and harm the unity of our flock. These undertakings have found favor among certain political actors in Israel and beyond who seek to push a political agenda which may harm the Christian presence in the Holy Land and the wider Middle East. Holy Scripture teaches us that “we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another” (Romans 12:5).
