Wounded Art: Bishop Hermann Glettler of Innsbruck, Austria, has encircled a loaned statue of the Sacred Heart from Vienna’s Votive Church with string lights. Entitled “Wounded Light”, the result is on display at an exhibition in the Kunsthaus Mürzzuschlag from 25 April to 14 June 2026. The bishop's Instagram post reads: “On the polished surface of the figure are auratic cones of light, sites of inflammation, and light-shy wounds.” On Wednesday, Pope Leo XIV received Bishop Glettler after the general audience.

On 28 April, Don Nicola Bux, a liturgist close to Benedict XVI, commented on MessaInLatino.it regarding Leo XIV’s audience for Mrs Sarah Mullaly, who holds the title and costume of Archbishop of Canterbury. His text: "There is a contradiction between the many Anglican pastors who have become Catholic priests and been incardinated into the ordinariates established by Benedict XVI, and the Pope’s message of good wishes delivered by Cardinal Koch to Sarah Mullaly, who is not a bishop because she is a woman and is not the Primate of Canterbury, as two-thirds of the Anglican Communion does not recognise her as such.' What about the secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, Monsignor Flavio Pace, who makes the sign of the cross while the Anglican bishop' imparts a blessing in the Clementine Chapel at the tomb of St Peter? Did Koch and Pace not realise the falsity of their actions? Whether out of ignorance or bad faith, they scandalise and confuse many Catholics and require …Makîria
There is not even the possibility of ignorance that excuses their betrayal, since this implies that they lack the necessary qualifications for the office they usurp. Prevost, Tagle, Koch, and Flavio Pace and the other minions have committed a sin of malice. They are apostates and are not in communion with the Catholic Church, as established by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith itself— under the pontificate of John Paul II—wherein it is specified that priests take an oath of profession of faith, and where it is clearly taught that Anglican orders are invalid and null. The Church has indicated that this heretical sect lacks apostolic succession. Furthermore, that same decree states: "15 Whoever denies these truths would be in a position of rejecting a truth of Catholic doctrine 16 and would therefore no longer be in full communion with the Catholic Church." Pope Leo XIII’s 1896, Apostolicae Curae: Anglican orders are “absolutely null and utterly void”
Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed three new U.S. bishops who have expressed criticism of President Donald Trump. Evelio Menjivar-Ayala, 55, currently auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Washington, is the new bishop of Wheeling-Charleston covering West Virginia. He is a formerly undocumented immigrant who was smuggled into the United States in a car trunk. Furthermore, Leo XIV elevated the prelates Gary Studniewski, 68, and Robert Boxie, 45, as new auxiliary bishops for Washington Archdiocese. Cardinal McElroy of Washington is one of the strongest pro-homosexual infiltrators. He publicly defended Fiducia Supplicans and said U.S. opposition focused on homosexual blessings reflected “enduring animus” toward homosexuals. His Archdiocese of Washington spans Washington, D.C., and surrounding Maryland communities, placing its bishops in regular contact with policymakers, diplomats and national media. With Menjivar, Boxie and Studniewski, Leo XIV has again reinforced a leadership group …Makîria

Being a “critic” of DJT is a good thing….a very good thing. These newly appointed Bishops may have other dire issues but in this area they’re right on target.
Despite originally being announced as one of the event’s featured attractions, Portuguese priest and DJ Guilherme Peixoto will no longer perform at the opening-night concert of Rouen’s 2026 Jeanne d’Arc celebrations on 14 May. The Archdiocese of Rouen, France, said that Padre Guilherme had requested to postpone his appearance. This followed public criticism of his inclusion in the festival programme. Critics questioned the appropriateness of a priest performing electronic music during celebrations dedicated to Joan of Arc. He will be replaced by French DJ Charles B, who will be accompanied by a local opening act. Unlike Padre Guilherme, the replacement performers are not clergy and their performance is not framed by religion. Picture: Padre Guilherme, #newsJkmrzqlodl
From Diocese of Corpus Christi At the age of 102, Bishop René Henry Gracida passed away on the morning of May 1, 2026. Bishop Mario Avilés wrote, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bishop Emeritus René Henry Gracida. He served as the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Corpus Christi from 1983 until 1997. We are deeply grateful for his faithful service as our shepherd for 14 years.” Previously, he was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee in Florida (1975–1983) and as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Miami in Florida (1971–1975). Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 9, 1923, Gracida was the second child of Enrique J. Gracida Carrizosa, a Mexican architect and engineer, and Mathilde Derbes, a fifth-generation French American Cajun. His great uncle was a vicar general of a diocese in Mexico. As a teenager, Gracida was fascinated by the Jesuit martyrs portrayed in James Fenimore Cooper’s novel The Last of the Mohicans. During World War …Makîria
Al Gore Shifts On Global Warming: Time To Watch Out For A New Ice Age? BY TYLER DURDEN WEDNESDAY, APR 29, 2026 - 08:10 PM The rhetoric and predictions behind climate change "science" change so haphazardly, it's a sure sign that the entire field of study is fraudulent. If the manufactured hysteria is not enough to clue people in, the failed predictions of Al Gore should do the trick. Former Vice President Al Gore warned a Hollywood audience this week that a "Gulf Stream collapse" could occur within 25 years, leading to an abrupt and devastating new Ice Age. Mr. Gore, now 78, appeared at the inaugural Sustainability in Entertainment Honors event, co-hosted by The Hollywood Reporter and the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. He participated in a keynote conversation with actor Bradley Whitford of “The West Wing,” timed to the 20th anniversary of “An Inconvenient Truth.” Gore invoked the scenario depicted in the 2004 disaster film “The Day After Tomorrow …Makîria
A new Christian-Muslim event at the Grand Mosque of Rome has drawn criticism from some Catholics who question the setting and wider message of the meeting.
Italian Foreign Affairs Minister Antonio Tajani: "It is now evident that a picture of growing hostility toward the Christian community in Israel, in Gaza, in the West Bank, and in southern Lebanon is emerging. A violence that this time did not spare a French nun assaulted in front of the Upper Room on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Attacks that also involve the symbols and places of Christian worship. We continue to ask the Israeli Government to guarantee religious freedom and the presence of Christians, who have always been promoters of peace in the Middle East."

Today, Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor John Gomez as Bishop of Diocese of Laredo, USA. Born in Colombia in 1975, Monsignor Gomez is a priest of the Diocese of Tyler, a canon lawyer trained at the Gregorian in Rome. He has little discernible public media footprint: no notable interviews, personal social-media presence, podcasts, or published ideological essays appear readily available online. Bishop Joseph Strickland appointed him in 2015 as vicar general of Tyler, Texas. The interesting wrinkle is that Monsignor Gomez remained after Bishop Strickland was removed: He served as delegate of the apostolic administrator from 2023–2025, then vicar general again under Bishop Gregory Kelly from 2025. CatholicVote reported in June 2023 that Monsignor Gomez helped organize meetings between the Vatican visitators and diocesan clergy, religious, and laity during the Apostolic Visitation. The Apostolic Visitation was requested by the new prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, then-Archbishop Robert …Makîria
Gomez was vicar general in Tyler under Strickland, but was nevertheless the one who arranged clergy from the diocese to meet with Vatican investigators sent to assess Strickland’s leadership.
And what about McElroy's new auxiliary bishops? One appears to be a pro-LGBT ex-military man. And the bishop of Wheeling-Charleston, an undocumented immigrant bishop, a supporter of criminal immigrants, and an enemy of the Traditional Latin Mass. What a bunch of scum; they'll all go to Hell like the pieces of shit they are.
Excert of “Legionario”, May, 23th 1943 (*) During the month of May —the month of Mary— we feel a special protection of Our Lady that extends to all the faithful; we feel a special joy that shines and illuminates our hearts expressing the universal certainty of Catholics that the indispensable patronage of our heavenly mother becomes even more tender, more loving and more full of visible mercy and exorable condescendence during her month of May. Even after the month of May passes, a remnant of this remains— if we have profited from those thirty— one days especially consecrated to Our Lady. We are left with an increased devotion, a keener confidence and, so to speak, such an increased intimacy with Our Lady that in all the vicissitudes of life we will know how to petition her with respectful insistence, hope in her with invincible confidence and thank her with humble tenderness for all the good she does us. Our Lady is the Queen of Heaven and Earth and, at the same time, our mother. We …Makîria

When the disciples had spoken to Heli of Hebron, the latter went back into the house by the court, but they turned to the right, and hastened down the north side of the hill, through Sion. They passed over a bridge, and walking along a road covered with brambles, reached the other side of the ravine, which was in front of the Temple, and of the row of houses which were to the south of that building. There stood the house of the aged Simeon, who died in the Temple after the presentation of our Lord; and his sons, some of whom were disciples of Jesus in secret, were actually living there. Acts 6:1-7 "The apostles chose seven men filled with the Spirit." The more people there are to proclaim the joy of being children of God, the more joy will spread to every heart. 1 Peter 2:4-9 "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood." This kingship is the kingship of God. Jesus Christ is the King, and his Kingdom is the Love of God. Let us discover the joy of the child within us and welcome God's Love into the Kingdom. John 14:1-12 Thomas said to Jesus, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Eternal life is found in the Heart of Christ, in the Heart of God. God's Love is eternal life, and his Love is present right now. Let us fully embrace God's love. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.

The carbon tax, the fight against the economic decline caused by the authorities’ “rescue measures” in the area of migration, global warming, which is currently heading in a direction that threatens the planet with apocalyptic cold waves. One could go on and on with this list. This whole circus boils down to one thing: governments are serving us, on a silver platter, a solution to problems that would never have arisen in the first place without the active involvement of these very governments. It’s as simple as building a flail. A flail is an agricultural hand tool used for threshing, the process of separating grains from their husks. It can also be used for military purposes being made in the same way as a threshing-flail but much stronger and furnished with iron spikes. Source. Yes, it’s simple—but not for everyone. I still come across people who are firmly convinced …
