Padre Guilherme Peixoto performed in a Beirut nightclub: On 10 January, Rev Guilherme Peixoto presided over a Eucharist at the University of the Holy Spirit of Kaslik, Lebanon. Later that night, he performed a DJ set at AHM, a Beirut nightclub. A legal complaint filed on 4 January by a group including clergy sought to cancel the concert, citing moral concerns. The petition was rejected by a judge on 9 January. The event proceeded after the venue announced that no religious symbols would be displayed and that no clerical attire would be worn. The performance lasted about two and a half hours and drew roughly 2,000 attendees. The priest played 1990s techno music with deep bass that was repetitive and boring, interspersed with very brief interludes of bells, hints of Gloria and Alleluia, and fragments of symphonic music. Images flashed across the screens: a large white dove, Pope John Paul II, and - of course - a rainbow.
A recent performance in Beirut of Father Guilherme Peixoto sparked opposition from some Christians in Lebanon. “Not all need to like what I’m doing, but they need to respect. It’s music to bring the church outside of the church,” he said.
Yet they still don't care. It's like they live to see every scandal there is. That it's the first thing they seek out. I don't care to see any of it. I try to scroll from it so I don't get caught up in it. Besides I get extremely upset when I not only see it on gtv but when thousands look at it brhenry
https://www.technologyreview.com/2013/07/16/177343/how-smart-dust-could-spy-on-your-brain/ The real time monitoring of brain function has advanced in leaps and bounds in recent years. That’s largely thanks to various new technologies that can monitor the collective behaviour of groups of neurons, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging, magnetoencephalopathy and positron emission tomography. This work is revolutionising our understanding of the way the brain is structured and behaves. It has also lead to a new engineering discipline of brain-machine interfaces, which allows people to control machines by thought alone. Impressive though these techniques are, they all suffer from inherent limitations such as limited spatial resolution, a lack of portability and extreme invasiveness. Today, Dongjin Seo and pals at the University of California Berkeley reveal an entirely new way to study and interact with the brain. Their idea is to sprinkle electronic sensors the size of dust particles …

Cardinal Arthur Roche distributed at Leo XIV’s consistory last week a text on liturgy. Journalist Nico Spuntoni published the two-page report (facsimile below). It is a strong defence of Traditionis Custodes. The report was one of four texts distributed to the cardinals. The others were written by Cardinals Tucho (Faith), Grech (Synod) and Baggio (Human development). The strongest ideological rejection of the Mass in the Roman rite is in four quotations taken from Francis in the report's points 9, 10 and 11: - “For this reason we cannot go back to that ritual form which the Council Fathers, cum Petro et sub Petro, felt the need to reform.” - “The use of liturgical books that the Council sought to reform was… a concession that in no way envisaged their promotion.” - “The liturgical books promulgated by the holy Popes Paul VI and John Paul II… are the sole expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite.” - “I do not see how it is possible to say that one recognizes the validity of …Bivule
Please leave the Liturgy alone. There is NOTHING you prelates can add, modify, or change that will make it more salutary. It should not have been "reformed." during VII in the first place. We are not Protestants.
[Saint Bridget of Sweden/ Heliga Birgitta; XIV Century AD: aged 69-70; Uppland, Sweden/Rome, Papal States; Widow, Mystic; Spiritual Writer; Founder; Patroness of Europe] “Chapter 52 ~ The Mother blesses her Son and prays to him that his words might be spread all over the world and take root in the hearts of his friends. And about how the Virgin is compared to a wonderful flower growing in a garden, and about the words of Christ that were sent through the bride to the pope and to other prelates of the Church. The Holy Virgin spoke to the Son and said: “Blessed be you, my Son and my God, Lord of angels and King of glory! I beg of you that the words that you have spoken may take root in the hearts of your friends and that their minds may cling as firmly to these words as the pitch with which Noah’s ark was plastered, which neither storm-waves nor winds could break and dissolve. May they be spread out all over the world like branches and sweet flowers whose fragrance is spread far and wide …Bivule
"The Son answered:“Blessed be you, my most beloved Mother! My angel Gabriel said to you: “Blessed art thou, Mary, among women!” And I bear witness to you that you are blessed and most holy above all the choirs of angels. You are like a flower in a garden that is surrounded by other fragrant flowers, but surpasses them all in scent, beauty, and virtue. These flowers are all the chosen men from Adam to the end of the world which were planted in the garden of the world and shone and smelled in manifold virtues. But among all of those who were and who will afterward come, you were the greatest in the fragrance of humility and a good life, in the beauty of the most pleasing virginity, and in the virtue of abstinence."
A Russian woman tells Putin that her son and grandson have died fighting in Ukraine and that she has received money for their deaths. She says she has one son left sentenced to 12 years for raping his girlfriend’s daughter. The woman begs Putin to let him go fight in Ukraine too
If Putin hears about this, you can be guaranteed he will respond. I have seen it even just recently. Up till today he is saddened and gets emotional of a woman who handed him a piece of paper with a message for him. He handed it to someone with him and it was lost. I don't know how it got lost but I wonder if they lost it on purpose. This has haunted him for a long time. He is the most hands on President I have ever seen. He responds to the people personally. Even inviting them to the Kremlin. He is an amazing man.

At the Eucharist of Epiphany in St Peter’s Basilica, Pope Leo XIV introduced a new Ferula pontificalis for the first time, VaticanNews.va reports on January 13. Unlike a bishop’s crozier, which ends in a curved hook, the papal pastoral staff is straight at the top. The new ferula resembles the famous pastoral staff used by John Paul II, with its prominent cruciform design. However, it omits the crucifixion imagery. "Christ is no longer depicted with the nails of the Passion," noted the Liturgical Office, "but with his glorified body, ascending to the Father." It continued: "As in his appearances after Easter, the risen Lord shows his wounds as luminous signs of victory - a victory that does not erase human suffering, but surpasses it in the dawn of divine life." The Ferula pontificalis has been in use since the late Middle Ages and was traditionally presented to a newly elected pope when he took possession of his cathedra at the Basilica of St John Lateran. Paul VI was the first pope …Bivule
The Catholic Faith teaches the TRUTH which is opposed to the lies and deceptions which this staff of ANTIPOPE prevost represents. The TRUTH is that JESUS CHRIST was CRUCIFIED, DIED on the Cross, and was buried; the third day He rose from the dead. JESUS CHRIST DID NOT RISE FROM THE DEAD upon the CROSS of His Crucifixion.
Pope Leo has named Rev. Don Stefano Cascio as Vice Director of the Laudato Si’ Center for Advanced Training, an initiative established by Pope Francis to promote integral ecology by addressing climate change, sustainability, and social justice. The appointment underscores both continuity and a renewed strengthening of the Vatican’s commitment to the principles of Laudato si’.
The humans on earth who live in our times and believe, usurp, and occupy the "high places" are leading themselves and attempting to lead others to hell as they believe that they are gods as they build this hell on earth on behalf of satan and on behalf of themselves. As the serpent promised to Adam and Eve "and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5
Gregory DiPippo: "One simply has to be willing to recognize the obvious truth, that the liturgical reform was not born out of Sacrosanctum Concilium. It was born out of the rejection of Sacrosanctum Concilium. The Church has paid an appallingly steep price for this rejection."
