LifeSiteNews.com Dismissed Editor-in-Chief John-Henry Westen
John-Henry Westen is no longer the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of LifeSiteNews.com.
LifeSiteNews's dismissal note was kind, as usual: "He is now on a well-earned sabbatical, spending valuable time with his family."
The company expressed "heartfelt gratitude" for Westen's many years of dedicated service to LifeSiteNews and the pro-life cause. "We wish him well during his sabbatical and ask for continued prayers for our organization as we move forward."
Journalist Edward Welsch addded on X.com: “Westen was removed by a 5-4 board vote, as a majority wanted to chart a new course for the site after the election of Leo XIV.”
Board of directors for LifeSiteNews include: Jeff Gunnerson, Royce Hood, Lisa Fischer, Dominic Ismert, Jim Hughes, John-Henry Westen and his friend and co-founder, Steve Jalsevac.
Are They Trying to Silence Criticism of Pope Leo XIV?

It flabbergasts me how Lifesite News would ask for donors to leave their home in their will to LifeSite. Or was I hearing wrong?
Stephen Kokx, a faithful Catholic journalist and longtime contributor to LifeSite, announced a day earlier that he too was “forced to seek new employment.” The implication was obvious: dissent is no longer tolerated, even when that dissent is loyal to the Deposit of Faith.
There's been enormous pressure to silence Prevost's critics on the websites that previously denounced Bergoglio. LifeSiteNews always defended the truth, attacking Bergoglio's errors, but now with Prevost, that's changed, and that's why Westen has been fired. Is Prevost the one who will present the Antichrist, and should therefore remain outside the controversies against him? Why does Burke defend and praise him?
Dare speak against the cartel. Start your own John Henry. Take the donors.
Llifesite without him looks like Project Veritas without O'Keefe. "Best serve our donors, readers and employees"...mmm ok
Trad inc. is protecting Leo XIV.
I'm not sure this is Trad Inc. It smells more like fire and brimstone, and the New Church and synodal way, to which, by the way, we must convert, they say.
