Fr. Brian Comments on Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus’ performance at the Video Music Awards has been the cause of great controversy, as the 20 year-old former Disney star performed a dance many considered pornographic.
Fr. Brian reflects upon this performance through the lens of Sebastian Moore’s concept of original sin. He contends that when we lose sight of the fact that we are loved by God, who is our ultimate desire, we seek dignity elsewhere, and allow ourselves to become manipulated and debased by others.

Faith and Intelligence.
Are Atheists smarter than believers? A recent study by Professor Miron Zuckerman of the University of Rochester claims they are. Fr. Brian argues that this does not mean that faith is unintelligible.Rather, this is a call for Catholics to learn the intelligibility of their faith.

I don't understand how a person can play Russian Roulette with the very high “possibility” of falling and dying – and you think this is good because he was “praying”?
This is an extremely poor example of trying to encourage and convert people.
(Ecclesiastes 11:4).
Furthermore, was the man a Catholic too, and if not, is it necessary to be a Catholic to be saved?
What Would Jesus Do is not a Catholic Question.
Fr. Brian discusses the popular question, "What Would Jesus Do?" He suggests that Catholics need not ponder what Jesus would do about various issues that confound our society, as Jesus addressed these questions by leaving us a Church safeguarded from error on matters of faith and morals.
Chris Broussard and Jason Collins.
Chris Broussard was asked to comment from a Christian Perspective on Jason Collin's stunning announcement. In doing so, Broussard said that anyone living a lifestyle that contradicts the Bible is not a Christian. Fr. Brian uses this as a springboard for some thoughts about what it means to be a Christian.

Jesus Preached a Message of Love; Why Does the Church Preach Hatred and Biggotry.
Fr. Brian argues that despite popular perception, the Church is motivated by love, and her teachings are based on love, not hatred and bigotry.
Well, all are call to Chastity. Is true the Church is preach the message of love.
But, the problem is with people. They want what they want, making rooms for their sin.
They have itching ears...want to hear what they want.
We have to defend the faith. Remember that God does not accept human opinion.
I pray that others in the Church, our Lord may increase and give them eyes of faith.
I pray for you too Fr. Carpenter.
