Bishop Defends Decision to Build Mosque
Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza of Yola, Nigeria, defended his decision to build a mosque in 2021 with support from Missio in Germany. It was intended for Muslims displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency.
He explained his reasoning in an interview with AciAfrica.org on 9 June: "I did it from the bottom of my heart, with pure intentions."
However, Bishop Dami Mamza is playing the victim as his decision was met with criticism from both Christians and Muslims. "I was persecuted. Some Christians were upset that I had built a mosque, saying it was inappropriate. But what shocked me more was that some Muslims said a Christian should not build a mosque. That hurt more than the criticism from Christians."
The mosque was accepted and commissioned by the Muslim Council leadership in Adamawa State.

Bishop Schneider: Catholics Can Attend "Pious" Novus Ordo Eucharists
The position of Catholics to never attend a Novus Ordo Eucharist "is not correct", Bishop Athanasius Schneider told OnePeterFive.com (January 1).
"If the new Mass can be celebrated 'reverently', it is not heretical."
During his time as a religious priest in his Community of the Holy Cross, the Novus Ordo Eucharist was celebrated in Latin, turned towards the Lord (versus Deum), with Holy Communion received kneeling on the tongue, with the Roman Canon and Gregorian chant.
"I don't see why you cannot assist such a pious Mass."
However, by now, Novus-Ordo Eucharists of this kind are even rarer than Holy Masses in the Roman Rite.

Liberal Rigorism: PiusX Not Part Of The Church - Cardinal Burke
The Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) is “at the present moment not part of the One Roman Catholic Church,” Cardinal Raymond Burke told Matt Fradd on YouTube.com (May 8, video quote below).
Burke hopes that, in time, there will be a reconciliation with the Francis Church but he didn't elaborate whether such a reconciliation could be based on a "common Faith." However, Burke insisted that the position of PiusX is "schismatic."
The Cardinal is aware that PiusX accepts the Pope but not “his governance of the Church with regard to themselves.” At least, he acknowledges that PiusX has accomplished a great good concerning the teaching of the Faith and the education of young people.
In terms of a rigorous application of canon law that the Francis Church reserves only for Catholics in order to persecute and harass them, Burke is right.
