Yes. And the altercation was because of how Jacob and Rebekah deceived the hapless Issac to steal the birthright. Why would God "need" a pair of liars to define His lineage? With God's Mercy, he receives the new name Israel. AND THAT IS THE MEANING OF ISRAEL.
