Bad Joke: ALL (!) Popes of the Decadent Council Church Canonised
John Paul I, the "smiling" pope who reigned for only 33 days in 1978, is likely to be "beatified" next year.
His biographer and vice postulator for his cause, the journalist Stefania Falasca, Francis' longtime personal friend, told the Italian bishops' homosex daily Avvenire (August 27) that the process has reached the final stage.
The cause was opened in John Paul I's home diocese Belluno in November 2003. It is based on 188 witnesses, including Benedict XVI. The "miracle" used for it, is the healing of an Argentinean girl who suffered from a severe brain disease.
In Church history, only very few popes, most of them martyrs of the first centuries, were canonised. For the rest, most popes were mediocre or bad. Only since Vatican II, ALL but John Paul I have been declared blessed or saints although all of them presided over a decadent Church promoting the worst crisis and decline the Church saw since being founded by Christ.

CIA, were interested in influencing Vatican II. // CIA also murdered Pope JPl ?
Or 3 Cadinals ( Casaroli , Villot , Benelli ) mudered Pope JPl ?
These theories are not mine.

Sprawa została otwarta w rodzimej diecezji Jana Pawła I Belluno w listopadzie 2003 roku.
According to media reports, the beatification process, which began in 2003, has reached the final stage. A decisive meeting of the competent Vatican body is scheduled for October, it said. A positive result is to be expected, it said. After Pope Francis' approval, a date for beatification could then be set.
I'm honestly shocked they took that length. Either it was given to the office junior in the Congregation for the Cause of Saints, or there was a need to excise any Vatican Bank references regarding his death. Holy Bergoglio will be beatified and canonised almost immediately or at least very quickly (I hope I will be completely wrong).
Fatima laid before us two choices, stop offending God or suffer the consequences. Live Mike understands this ,too bad so few people do. The consequences are frightening ,pray the rosary!

Catholic laity have a moral obligation to keep apostate hierarchy in check, if not outright throw threm out of their position of ecclesial authority.
...because a schismatic group whose founder was excommunicated know how to be "Catholic", right? :P
Recalling his death, many at the time felt he was murdered thus making him a martyr.
I agree with you too. However ppl thought he was the true pope elected, murdered to make way for an anti pope.
JP1 allegedly said he would restore the Mass of Ages. If that was the reason for his death, there could be no worthier martyrdom. However, any demand to recant would only be known to some now deceased dodgy doctor. Otherwise his possible efforts, words at that stage, to reduce the theft of the wealth of the Church were not without merit. Anyhow it is said that JP2 was left alone as it somehow made known that he would be careful not to see what he was not meant to see.
Yes, it was a claim, and his personality apparently had a weakness, or a deceitful aspect, where he would say things to please his hearers. JP1 got rid of the Papal coronation, despite even Paul VI specifying a coronation with tiara for a successor (Montini gave up his ugly Milanese tiara, not the entire use of a tiara). Perhaps he got backbone over corruption, for no one likes to be robbed, and so he perished.
Canonized -- FOR WHAT??? PR?
Much like American politicos, it seems the hierarchy is bent on blackening their own noses for the cause so they can better "shame" those who actually believe in the Faith and/or this country.
Disgusting, obvious, pandering, filth.
Yes, Luciani was one of those post-conciliar freaks ravaging the vineyard:
'What many people fight is not the true God but the false idea they have made of God. A God who protects the rich, who only asks and demands, who is jealous of our growing prosperity (sic!), who spies continuously on our sins from above (sic!) to give himself the pleasure of punishing us.
Dear Chesterton, you know God isn’t like that; you know that He is both good and just; the father of prodigal sons, who wishes them all to be, not sad and wretched, but great and free, and creators of their own destiny (sic!) Our God is not man’s rival (sic!), He wants us to be His friends, He has called us to share in His divine nature and in His eternal happiness. And He does not ask anything excessive of us: He is content with very little, because He knows quite well that we haven’t got very much."

@V.R.S.: only very small-minded people, who have no concept of the greatness of a soul, can make such comments

"only very small-minded people, who have no concept of the greatness of a soul, can make such comments".
----
Pride is no "greatness of a soul".
Probably, according to the modern world criteria, I am narrow-minded. At least, I laugh at the broad abyss of free-thinking.
@V.R.SD. : I do, by taking the Mother of God, send by Jesus as a refuge for our times, seriously. But you, of course, know better and tell God the conditions under which He may give His messages to His people. I pray for you.
@petrus100452
"taking... seriously"
---
Yes, you are living a serious lie. The fraud of the century.Don't pray for me because like St. John the Evangelist avoided the baths visited by the famous heretic I do not want any prayer whatsoever from the Medjugorjan sect.
@V.R.S.: A lie that brought countless people back to God and the Sacraments...? But I will respect your wish and will no longer pray for you.
@petrus100452
The lie that brought countless people to false, non-Catholic "charismatism". And it brought certain Fr. Vlasic to the total lunacy.
@V.R.S.: Your concept of Catholicism is very, very limited. Not to say that you have a false concept... But I grand you the final word in this conversation. May God bless you.
Can someone please point out where the Church definitively preaches that canonizations are infallible?
Here is a good starting point rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/…021/08/are-canonizations-infallible-important.html
Nowhere. There is the opinio communis coming of course from the good ol' times preceding the modern "saint factory" and all those Escribas, Montinis, Roncallis, Wojtylas and Romeros given as examples of heroic levels of post-conciliar virtues like dialogue, irenism, ecumenism and so on.
Yet in times past, canonisation was a careful process. While at times some locally revered saints were marked as saints for the Universal Church, usually there years of study which sometimes went nowhere. They are wholly political nowadays. Sometimes some 19th century Mexican confessor might be raised to the V2 tables, someone of merit, but even then, no proper study has been made, since JP2 wrecked the rules.
