Depends on how one uses discernment. We should discern the best course of action in light of the Apostolic Faith and the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. Leo wants to discern how to change the faith in light of modern "concrete" situations. The former is proper, the later is apostacy.

Synodality is NOT Catholic. It has no basis in tradition and is a Protestant idea.
