I have always thought that Jesus Christ is necessary to save humanity. Not "our humanity" because humanity like the whole creation is not ours.

Aside from being the pontiff with the most 'potty mouth', almost all of his papal remarks have been more hyperbolic than theologic. He often makes neither rhyme nor reason.
