Argentine Archdiocese "Investigates" Transvestite Marriage After Public Scandal

The Archdiocese of Corrientes, Argentina, issued a statement on February 8 regarding a marriage ceremony held on January 28 involving transvestites.
The couple consists of "Solange" Ayala, a biological male who presents as female, and "Isaías", a biological female who presents as male. Both individuals are homosexual activists.
Ayala told local media that the priest had consulted Archbishop José Adolfo Larregain. He reportedly indicated that there was no canonical impediment to the marriage based on the couple’s biological sex.
