Father James Altman, a victim of his bishop and famous for criticising Joe Biden as ineligible, released a professionally produced September 6 video stating that “Bergoglio is not the Pope.” His main argument is that Bergoglio is not Catholic because he has denied dogmas and therefore cannot be pope. Altman is the leading face of the @Coalition for Cancelled Priests. He does not explain how he intends to escape the dead end of sedisvacantism.

Storming Rome with semi-automatics? Starting a new sede only church with Fr. Altman as head? What exactly is your plan of action - what do you hope to achieve?
I see.... so acknowledging Pope Francis as the Pope (as is my station) is a cardinal sin now? My road to hell? Gosh. I'm glad I don't adhere to your church. I much prefer the Catholic Church which teaches that the Office of St. Peter belongs to Christ and He alone can judge it; that my duty is to live a Catholic life of prayer and sacrifice - especially for the Holy father when he goes astray.
As for the podcast you refered to me to: how interesting; the speaker is Fr. Kramer who has a long history of revolutionary talk against the hierarchy. And what is his solution? Revolution of course: throw off the yoke of authority, do what you think is right and set up a rival conclave. Wouldn't the German bishops LOVE that (seeing they are doing it anyway). The world is in chaos now - can you imagine what it would be like if everyone did this? There has to be a pivotal point of reference (even if it ithe man in office is terrible) for any type of hierarchy to work. Fr. Kramer speaks as if God is not in control. As if the Church is secular institution that can toppled and "re-built". Fr. Kramer's words are dangerous, very, very dangerous...

Things were so bad that the majority of the Jews followed Jesus thinking he would be the leader who would lead a revolt against this evil man and the foreigners invading their country. Alas, how angry they became when they relised He was against the very idea of a physical revolution and spoke to them about addressing the evil within themselves; how each purified soul would draw down an abundance of divine grace from heaven that would disperse the evil fog like the rays of a high noon sun. Yet behold, God raised up a saintly Archbishop who began a counter-resistence in the name of tradition that has sprouted and branched and grown. I too do not understand the reason for your reference to this Papal Bull. But even if it was of significance, Fr. Altmans' opinion (interpretation) of any Bull or any Church law is merely an opinion. He has NO authority to apply that law; even if his conclusion/understanding was correct. It is not his station to pass judgement against the Pope. To do so is to do exactly what Luther did. Papal Bulls are not there for lay people and clergymen to use against whoever they think is a heretic!

(Thank you andrew24157) Also. according to the Code of Canon Law 1405, only the pope can judge cardinals and bishops. Now, the pope is a bishop. Therefore, only a Pope can pass judgement on him.

It's a question of authority. Tony M, you claim that Pope Frances has been excommunicated according to Fr. Altman and Estefania Acosta Ochoa. Now in a court of law it is one thing to present evidence, quite another to pass a judgement on that evidence. Neither of the above mentioned men have that authority to make such a judgement; they, like Martin Luthur, are stepping outside their area of compendence. What they have done though, is join the ranks of the Church's enemies who HATE the papacy and are using Pope Frances to program loyal Catholics (and their children) to reject lawful authority whenever they don't like what they hear. There is no question he is a bad Pope and there is no question that we must resist him when - and only when - he does not speak or act in communion with the Church teaching, however to reject his divine authority outright as inferiors (in terms of Office) is quite another thing.
Neither has the right to judge him if he is, in fact, the Pope, which is the fundamental question.
The fact that Pope Benedict XVI has stated that he abdicated and has referred to another man as the Pope is not in any sense proof that he did, in fact, abdicate. "I dindu nuffin' " does not make it the truth, something is true on its own merit.
So, now, please produce canonically-valid proof of Benedict XVI's actual abdication.
Occasnltravlr - I doubt very much that the compilers of Canon Law had the ability to foresee Pope Bendict's abdication :) Our proof of his abdication rests with his own declaration, the fact he stepped down and recognised Pope Francis as did all the Cardinals and bishops. May I see your evidence that he did not abdicate?
The truth is that only Christ can render judgment on the pope and He has given us just what we deserve. Has Altman become pope somehow?

Something is telling me @123jussi that you have not listened to & read those proofs or considered all the essential issues at this crucial point in the history of the Catholic Church. And in Bergoglio's case the canonical analysis by the lawyer/author Estefania Acosta Ochoa presents in exhaustive detail,proof that Jorge was never the Pope.....which makes irrelevant the quote you give from St Catherine of Siena, “Even if the Pope were Satan incarnate, we ought not to raise up our heads against him”. No....Jorge is not satan incarnate ....as you say.... I agree.... but nor is he the Pope......which Fr Altman & Estefania Acosta Ochoa explain with comprehensive & compelling logic!!!!

As a response I would say that all Catholics , both clergy & lay people have the right.... and even more so the duty.... to defend the True Faith against heresy & heretics no matter who the heretics may be. Please note these words from the great Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen, '“Who’s going to save our Church? It’s not our bishops, it’s not our priests and it is not the religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that the priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops, and the religious act like religious.”

There is a nightmare scenario that thousands of Cardinals, Bishops and Priests may be not validly ordained because a binding Magisterial Document limiting forever the number of Cardinals to "70" men - which had been obeyed by every Pope from 1586 - 1958, was overturned for some odd reason by John XXIII. The document binds all future Popes to only 70 Cardinals - it specifies that any more than that amount are invalid.
If John XXIII claimed the authority to have 88 Cardinals - when the Church Herself does not permit that there be ever be more than 70 - (according to the document ALL Cardinals elected by a future Pope in excess of that Canonical 70 are invalid.) So, that means at the time of the election of Paul VI - we had 18 invalid Cardinals in 1962 - How many Bishops did THOSE 18 invalidly elected Cardinals ordain? How could they validly choose Bishops? If Bishops are invalid, how can they ordain Priests?
Here is a copy of the Magisterial Document "Postquam Verus - The Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church" Const. of Sixtus V Dec 3rd, 1586. With a side by side Latin/English Translation. As the saying goes "Read it and weep!"

Pope Sixtus mentions that the reason for the Law being binding on the Church is that Moses was only permitted 70 men to help him govern over the people during the Sojourn in the Wilderness. Pope Sixtus does not give the further example that due to the Lord's specification of an allowed 70 helpers for Moses, The High Priest in Jerusalem only elected 70 Priests to a the Council forming the Sanhedrin to support Himself.
So there is another example historically of a rule limiting the number of helpers to God's "Prime Minister" as only 70. The Pope is the lawful successor of the Temple High Priest, and Sixtus V was binding the Church dogmatically to the Traditional. and historical roots of the Papacy.
However, it gets even murkier. There are doubts as to whether John XXIII was the true Pope at all, There were two sets of White Smoke at the 1958 Conclave and there is evidence to suggest that Cardinal Siri (Pius XII's choice to succeed him) was elected first during that Conclave, hence the appearance of the first white smoke that told the waiting world that a new Pope had been elected. Yet the full, billowing white smoke, suddenly went dark which caused confusion among the onlookers.
According to a couple of sources, the explanation for that event was that Cardinal Siri, was elected Pope in the 1958 Conclave and chose the Name "Gregory XVII" After he accepted, all hell ensued in the Conclave - threats, duress, promises of retaliation globally etc.... as the dry straw was burning to announce his election (the first set of white smoke in 1958), some Cardinals threw damp straw on the fire to stop the white smoke from billowing out of the Chimney. (hoping to disguise the fact that a Pope had been elected. If Pope Siri resigned under duress, which some sources announce he did - then his resignation would be invalid due to Canon Law, and John XXIII would be an anti-Pope as well as a elector and Consecrator of 18 invalid Cardinals.

The dead end it is for those who have accepted as Pope the anti-Catholic who has declared open war on God and the Church. Which is like accepting the devil as Pope. Bergoglio leads the anti-church. Furthermore, the Church in the past has had periods of up to four years without a Pope.

"A dead-end" - Now there's an interesting point of discussion: Where does accepting Sedevacantism lead us? From what I can gather it has created - or certainly in danger of creating - a new protestant sect: a heap of discontents who who have come to believe that it is their democratic right to openly and dogmaticly declare against the Holy Father - and by extension - any other church authority that doesn't measure up to expectations; Viva revolution and all that. Ok. So after spending many hours pouring over this new evidence and that new evidence presenting by other discontents - and patting anyone and everyone on the back who joins your attack on the current Papacy - then what? Where do you yourselves see all this leading and achieving?
This is what happens when a faithful priest has the heroic and saintly courage to speak the truth, and take the consequences, whatever they may be!!! God Bless Father James Altman!!!

Yes, as I mentioned in the first post; Universi Dominici Gregis, by John Paul II was written when it had become very apparent that 'modernism' was no longer "smoke" but and actual 'infernal fire' that had invaded the Vatican (Curia). So the last 2 real Popes, in an urgent attempt to safeguard the Church, drew up this UDG which contains all visible problems then and all possible solutions for the future (like now) to deal with. If ArcB. Vigano' comes down from his pedestal, or abandons his pride and traditionalist vainglory to accuse Benedict XVI and prior popes, for not having done "enough" ...well, maybe he could call upon the Cardinal that, present at the 2013 Conclave, admitted that he saw with his own eyes "errors in the ballots" that were ignored, (purposely to place Bergoglio on the Chair). Universi Domini Gregis was the guide for Benedict to step away from doing magisterium actions, but never refused the actual Papacy. He was Pope until the end of his life. Universi Domini Gregis has the "guide" to remove the ..anti-pope! If only some Cardinals (Burke, Scheneider, etc. )put their mind and effort to come to the solution... A billion Catholics are waiting!

Stop right now. You are spilting hairs. The very term "Sede-vacante" is a new term and it refers to its modern claim: that the Pope sitting in the chair of St. Peter is not the Pope; that the chair is actually "empty". The term was never applied to past interims between one Pope dying and another Pope being elected. They were merely long gaps.
