Speaking in favour of assisted suicide yesterday, Lord Brooke of Alverthorpe praised legalised abortion, “widespread advocacy of contraception,” and the “growth of homosexuality” because all have “reduced the number of children we would have had.” Brooke is a firm advocate of population control, seeing it as important in combatting climate change. “If there was ever a clip that should give every citizen of the United Kingdom pause, it is this utterly grotesque and quite terrifying contribution to the assisted suicide debate by Lord Brooke,” said Anthony Horan of the Scottish Catholic parliamentary office.
Anthony Burgess wrote a book that shows the logical conclusion of such a culture - The Wanting Seed. Not his best writing, but startlingly prophetic.
