“…the devil, as much as I may find him quite likeable—and he’s certainly not as bad as people make him out to be… perhaps he adds a little spice to people’s lives…” - Fr. Agnello Stoia, Franciscan friar and parish priest of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, speaking in this undated video.
Peru tributes Leo XIV with the largest statue in the world. Standing 14 meters tall, the monument will rise in a seafront park in Callao overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The statue depicts Leo XIV with his arms open and is being built around a steel structure with a marble-like exterior finish. The privately funded monument is expected to be installed ahead of the pope’s November visit to Peru. #newsMmvrjnktky
The Infinite Ocean I remember when I was in highschool, the school took us to a catholic retreat, the confessional was open and it was my turn, an old priest was waiting, I sat down and pour my sins in the open, that confession was like any other... Repeat offender? Yeah, Did I want to get better? Sure, but the only thing I remember about this particular confession was what happened at the end... The priest took his hand and put it exactly where my heart is and said to me: "Remember this, Jesus loves you, He loves you." My heart started to burn, literally... The sensation or the feel of this fire burning my heart from the inside out was surprising yes, ethereal and magnific... There and then I knew Love. This actually happened to me, such an unworthy human being, no humility, no holiness, no nothing just a sad clown looking to roll with the world, while my Lord waited and waited and waited and still... waits on me, this sack of unworthiness, I wish the Love I was shown in my heart would've …अधिक
European bishops sidestep ‘Traditionis Custodes’, continuing traditional Latin Masses in parish churches without Vatican dispensation. Last week, the Dicastery for Divine Worship published all its decrees from 2025, including permissions for the 1962 Roman Missal in parish churches. The list shows permissions for 55 parishes in 33 dioceses. 41 of the parish-church locations in the 2025 decrees are in the United States - about 75%. France is conspicuously absent from the 2025 index despite its importance among Catholics. No parish church in Paris appears among the Dicastery’s published dispensations in 2023, 2024 or 2025. Obviously, there are Masses. In the Paris parish of Saint-Eugène–Sainte-Cécile, the old Mass has been celebrated since the 1980s and remains part of the daily and Sunday schedule. Sainte-Odile also lists a Sunday Mass in the 1962 rite. Another example is London, England. No dispensation for a London parish church appears in the Dicastery’s published indexes for 2023,…अधिक
Bishop Strickland about Vatican 2 and Bishop Lefebvre “GO AND REPAIR MY HOUSE, WHICH, AS YOU SEE, IS FALLING INTO RUIN” Dear Sons and Daughters in Christ, I know that some of you believe I have changed. Some fear that I have crossed over to “the other side.” Some wonder whether, after years of speaking plainly and courageously about the crisis in the Church, defending the traditional Roman liturgy, questioning what was done in the name of the Second Vatican Council, and speaking openly about Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, I am now retreating from those convictions. Some of you may even feel betrayed. So before I say anything else, I want to say this plainly: I have not moved. The words Christ spoke to St. Francis at San Damiano – “Go and repair my house, which, as you see, is falling into ruin” – have weighed heavily upon my heart. I have not forgotten what happened to the Church. I have not forgotten what happened to the sacred liturgy, to Catholic catechesis, to religious life, to priestly …अधिक
Bishop Strickland "There is a phrase Catholics have heard for more than sixty years. “Vatican II changed that.” Why don’t we hear Latin anymore? Vatican II. Why did the Mass change? Vatican II. Why did Gregorian chant disappear from so many Catholic churches? Vatican II. Why did practices surrounding Holy Communion change? Vatican II. Why did sanctuaries change? Vatican II. Why did so many customs Catholics had known for generations suddenly disappear? Again and again, the answer was simply, “Vatican II.” Those two words became an explanation for almost everything that happened in Catholic life in the years following the Council. But lately I have been wondering whether that explanation is the right one. Not because Vatican II called for no change. It certainly did. But because when we actually sit down and read the documents of the Council, something interesting begins to happen. We discover that some things commonly attributed to Vatican II are not actually in Vatican II. Other things …अधिक

Leo XIV Approves Maronite Archbishop of Damascus Today, Pope Leo XIV has approved the election of Sharbel Ghattas Maroun as the new Maronite Catholic archbishop of Damascus. A Lebanese-born priest, he has spent much of his ministry in the United States. Archbishop Maroun, 64, was elected by the Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church. He succeeds Archbishop Samir Nassar, 76, whose resignation was accepted by the synod. Since 2020, Maroun has served as protosyncellus, a senior position comparable to vicar general, of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. Born January 6, 1962, in Kfarselwan, Lebanon, Maroun briefly worked for Crédit Libanais bank. Older Brother, a Lebanese Forces Fighter, Helped Maroun During Civil War In 1975, Lebnen, the father, and the eldest brother Nassif joined the Kataeb (Phalange) party and took up arms to defend their home. The family's house was confiscated and not recovered for 40 years. In 1981 Lebnen's local group formally joined the …अधिक
Cardinal McElroy has banned the installation of new Altar rails and discourages temporary kneelers, citing "a disruption of the flow of the Communion line". As you can see here, there is no disruption. Just another garbage excuse to attack the Latin Mass.
I would argue that kneeling and on the tongue is faster and more fluid than standing with Eucharistic minister placing the Eucharist in their dirty hands, stepping to the site, and then placing the host in your own mouth. Two operations as opposed to one so what is he even talking about.
Israeli Settler Who Attacked French Catholic Nun Acquitted The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court has acquitted Yona Simcha Schreiber, 36, of criminal responsibility for a violent attack on a French Catholic nun in April. The court accepted psychiatric evidence that he was psychotic at the time of the assault. He could neither understand the nature of his actions nor control them, the court ruled. He was ordered to undergo compulsory psychiatric hospitalization for up to six years. The attack occurred on Mount Zion, near King David’s Tomb outside Jerusalem’s Old City. Security footage showed Schreiber running toward the 48-year-old nun from behind and knocking her violently to the ground, causing her head to strike the stone pavement. Schreiber initially walked away before returning and kicking the nun while she remained on the ground. He also assaulted a passerby who attempted to intervene. The victim is a researcher at the Dominican-run École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem. …अधिक
Ceuta is under siege again tonight and Madrid still treats it like a PR problem. Either the military seals the perimeter with real force or this enclave is lost for good. No more “managing flows.” Defend Spanish soil or surrender it.
Leo XIV’s Prayer Intention Is … for the Care of Water: In September 2026, Leo XIV invites Catholics around the world to pray for the care of water. In his monthly prayer intention, he reminds Christians that access to clean water should be a right. “We beg forgiveness that it has been turned into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders.” He encourages Christians to reject waste and pollution and to use natural resources responsibly. Caring for water, he says, is both an expression of love for creation and an act of solidarity with the poor.
The Pope’s Prayer intention for the month of September is to pray for care of water: “Lord of Life, you have given us the gift of water, source of fruitfulness, freshness, and hope. It quenches thirst, nourishes the earth, and heals wounds. We thank you because it is also a symbol of your grace and love that renews us through baptism. Today, we ask you to teach us to safeguard it with gratitude, justice, and responsibility. Forgive us for turning it into a commodity, forgetting that it is a universal gift, a right without borders, meant for all your children. We see with pain, so many brothers and sisters, who lack clean water, who walk for miles to find it, who become ill due to its scarcity. May your Spirit make us pilgrims of the essential, able to live with simplicity, denouncing waste and pollution, defending the right of every brother and sister to drink without fear and without inequality. May our care for water, be a sign of love for the Creator, and a commitment to the lives of …अधिक
Is this prayer for my ears or for God’s? Is this weaponised virtue signalling or a sincere prayer to God. Because if it is to God the prayer could be recited in Latin a language God knows well!

EWTNNews.com was supposed to give EWTN’s international news operation a single global home. Seven months on, the domain remains outside Cloudflare Radar’s Top 100,000. Hardly an impressive digital calling card for Montse Alvarado as she moves on to lead the Vatican’s communications.
What the god of islam hates the most... In the meantime the pachamama vatican appoints gay promoters, communists and islam protectors to key positions, while those who are faithful are seen as lepers. Open your eyes the false Church is in charge, SO... remain faithful.
Sydney Archbishop: Homosexuals Mocked Catholic Faith Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher noted the producers of a homosexual performance staged inside a former Catholic church on Kent Street deliberately mocked the Catholic faith. Writing in CatholicWeekly.com.au on July 28, a week after hundreds of Catholics gathered outside the venue to pray the Rosary, Archbishop Fisher rejected claims that the show was simply artistic expression. The performances were "not neutral expressions of art" but "a deliberate appropriation, sexualisation, and denigration of symbols and rituals specific and sacred to the Catholic faith." The archbishop cited promotional images showing a pig offering McDonald's fries as the "Body of Christ," male performers dressed as nuns, and events titled "Sunday Mess" and "Unholy Confessions." He considered claims - that the production was not intended to mock Catholics - were "unpersuasive." "For Catholics, the Eucharist is not a cultural motif available for parody," Fisher …अधिक

Charismatic and Polarizing: Enzo Bianchi Dies at 83 Enzo Bianchi, founder of the Monastic Community of Bose, died at the Molinette Hospital in Turin at the age of 83 after kidney failure led to a metabolic coma. Bianchi was a monk but never became a priest. A prolific author, he wrote extensively on Scripture, spirituality and contemporary Christianity. He addressed Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox audiences and became a regular interlocutor of secular intellectuals and non-believers. Bose: From Farmhouse to a Center of Ecumenism Bianchi was born on March 3, 1943, in Castel Boglione, Piedmont. His mother died when he was eight, and he grew up with his atheist and communist father. After studying accounting and beginning economics studies, he chose a different path. In 1965, he settled in a farmhouse at Bose, near Magnano in the province of Biella, arriving on December 8, the final day of the Second Vatican Council. Three years later, others joined him. The community included men and …अधिक
