Hamas recently broadcast a children’s television program in which kids who appeared to be no older than 10 extolled the virtue of suicide attacks and expressed their desire to blow themselves up in order to liberate Jerusalem and the entirety of Palestine. Link
To "Paradise" I will say the answer is no. U.S. children do not sing songs praising bombing raids anywhere in the world. The children at most will sing a song like God Bless America.

Before a crowd of 100,000 in St. Peter's square and broadcast to hundreds of millions more worldwide, the announcement was made that 76-year-old Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina was elected the 266th pope choosing the name of Francis becoming the first pontiff from the Americas and the first from outside Europe in more than a millennium.
God bless the new Pope! May he serve the Church and humanity according to the will of the Good Shepherd!

To regular viewers of EWTN, it has been evident for some time that Father Benedict's health has been declining. For more than a year, the Network has been in discussions with both Father and his Community about his capacity to continue hosting Sunday Night Prime.
This is the reason that the program moved from a live to a pre-recorded format last year.
In more recent months Father Benedict’s decline has accelerated.
After consultation with EWTN and the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, Father Benedict has decided that it is now time to step away from the program.
The Sunday Night Prime program will continue and will be hosted by other priests of the CFR community.

Once a month, long before he became known on EWTN I would take the aspirants of my congregation, the Society of St. Paul, to hear Fr. Benedict speak. He has helped millions with his preaching and countless people with his loving actions and charitable work. May he grow in holiness so that when he ends his pilgrimage here on earth he will be ready to see the face of God and hear the words of our Divine Master, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Despite renewed statements of concern by Catholic leaders, the Obama administration is done negotiating and will finalize its plan requiring insurance companies to provide free contraception to women working and studying at religious institutions, President Obama's chief of staff said Sunday.

Obama's anti-religious implosion
Barack Obama may have just lost the election. He has foolishly gone to war in an election year with tens of millions of Catholics, Protestants and Jews — Democrat, Republican and independent alike. He has thrown down a radical feminist gauntlet and dared the Church to pick it up.
They've picked it up.
From running up trillions in debt and deficit, to the vast expansion of the size and scope of federal bureaucracy, Mr. Obama has done more in three years to supplant our 236 year-old Constitutional Republic with a Euro-style socialist autocracy — than a lesser Marxist could have accomplished in a lifetime.
But controlling the purse strings is not nearly enough. A central element of full-blown secular-socialism is the suppression of religious liberty — principally, freedom of conscience.
Karl Marx once said: "The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion."

Benedict XVI on Monday morning met with Lord Jonathan Sacks, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregation of the Commonwealth. Later, Rabbi Sacks held a public conference on the theme "Has Europe lost its soul?" in the Aula Magna of the Pontifical Gregorian University. Organised by the Gregorian's Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies, the conference emphasised the necessity of recovering the values of justice and compassion in a moment of difficulty and uncertainty for Europe, and of proposing a Judeo-Christian ethic as the foundation of a sustainable future.
The dialogue and mutual respect between Catholicism and Judaism is a keystone for recovering any sense of morality in the Europe and
the world. The concern for the weak, the wido, the orphan, the stanger in a strange land all stem from God's revelation to the prophets of Israel.

Vatican Council II was truly a work of the Holy Spirit and will shape the life of authentic Catholicism for the next 500 years and more.
In light of anti-Semitism that is alive and well today even among a small minority of Catholics, this visit of Benedict XVI to the marvelous Synagogue in Rome is very important.

Last Friday night, journalists of Gloria-TV were violently attacked in the centre of Vienna while filming a public rally that was taking place in support of abortion.
About 100 pro-death-demonstrators gathered in front of a building housing offices of the Pro-Life organization ‘Human Life International’. 20 to 30 police officers accompanied them.
The participants yelled out notorious hate-slogans against Christians like: "If Mary had had an abortion, we would have been spared from Christians."
Ironically, the violent demonstrators were demonstrating in recognition of the "International Day of Violence Against Women".
Two Gloria-TV journalists wanted to film the event. For safety reasons, they kept themselves at a distance of several meters from the pro-death demonstrators.
But within seconds, masked figures rushed toward them and tried to prevent the filming. As the pictures …
