Feminist groups in Canada have signed an e-petition to stop "parental alienation." The want a change to the Divorce Act. Representatives of these organizations went to Ottawa's Parliament Hill this week asking the Justin Trudeau government to put an end to what they call family violence. What is the violence that they are against? In marriages that end in divorce, the groups object to fathers using the "parental alienation" argument in court in order to gain visitation and more time with their children, even if they have been violent against their wives. So, these people want to put an end to father's having time with their children. How dies removing the father from the family improve the lives of children? Don't we already have too many single parent and broken families in Canada? May we include a personal note.
