Les gars, on entend en France H24 qu’on a le meilleur système de santé du monde.
Cette semaine : otite + pharyngite. Je me dis “ça va passer”. Spoiler : non.
Je vais donc dans un hôpital public à Shanghai.
J’entre. Je m’enregistre. 2 minutes.
Je paie 30 RMB, soit moins de 5 €.
Je me dirige vers le service ORL.
Pas de salle d’attente bondée.
Pas de ticket.
Pas de “revenez plus tard”.
Je suis pris directement par le spécialiste, dans un box.
Il fait un examen complet, pose des questions précises, n’affirme rien à la légère :
“Vous devez prendre l’avion ? D’autres problèmes de santé ?”
Je ressors.
Une borne.
Je paie les médicaments
Antibiotique, gouttes antibiotiques, paracétamol, spray oral : 78 yuan, environ 10 €.
Je marche 2 minutes jusqu’à la pharmacie…
Tout est déjà prêt.
Bilan : consultation ORL + médicaments, dans un hôpital public,
sans attente,
pour moins de 15 €,
en tant qu’étranger.
Le sujet n’est pas le prix.
Le sujet, c’est la rapidité d’exécution je suis arrivé à 17h34, je suis sorti à 17h52…

Wow! Sounds a lot like Russia. At least three people I watch has needed to go to the Hospital, Dentist and a Doctor. Everything is either free or almost for nothing. X-rays for a child was about $70. His child fell and banged his head. They did a some X-Rays on the child's head. He needed surgery immediately. And they did a terrific job.
Antibiotic was like $4 for another person. I can't remember the other person and what it cost him. Or if it was free. And all said the same thing. No long wait times and in and out. And either very low prices or free!
