Father David Muscat to be charged in court with hate speech
Father David Muscat will be charged in court with incitement to hatred and misuse of technology for his derogatory comments about gay people.
Police have filed hate crime charges for two comments the priest posted on Facebook this week.
In one of the comments, Father Muscat spoke about the possibility that murder suspect Abner Aquilina was gay, bisexual or possessed by the devil and said that "homosexuality" was worse than being possessed.
The other comment was posted below a photo showing the murder suspect in a colorful shirt. Father Muscat commented that it looked like he had just come back from 'gay pride'.
The police may have deemed this comment illegal as implying that people who attend gay pride are criminals.
Father Muscat is scheduled to appear before Judge Ian Farrugia on January 28.
You could be released on parole or receive a suspended sentence, but these charges could also see you pay thousands of fines and, in the worst case, land you in prison for up to 18 months.

Good honest Priest calling out mortal sin! Be good to hear Father David Muscat‘s version of the account.
Congratulations to Fr David who has the courage of his convictions in the face of a church and a country dominated by homosexuals and other perverts.
Euro Fail and selectively enforced. The Quran and the Hadiths both condemn homosexuality. No imams are punished for promoting these beliefs.
What I see in the abstract written ABOVE is that the Father was expression of opinion and speculation.
"Father Muscat spoke about the possibility that murder suspect Abner Aquilina was gay, bisexual or possessed by the devil and said that "homosexuality" was worse than being possessed." (speculation)
"Father Muscat commented that it looked like he had just come back from 'gay pride'." (speculation)
Based on those two statements he expressed his speculations and his opinion of them.
Remove those 3 highlighted words and speculation is removed too.
Very sad to see. I know very little about Malta, but, being a small, island nation, that is completely dependent on imported goods, I could imagine that it’s government, and Church hierarchy, are completely bought and payed for by the globalists.
