Video from a Confirmation Mass yesterday in the Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina. Bishop Michael Martin sits-eyes closed-as priests, deacons, and laity distribute Holy Communion to all but one family who is ignored as they kneel at the altar rail. This is a parish where, until 6 months ago, the Latin Mass was offered and where (until just a few weeks ago) Communion was distributed at the rail.
The bishop is NOT wearing an amice and allows lay people to distribute Holy Communion. More shame and more scandals.
Doesn't seem very 'pastoral', 'faith-affirming', or 'tolerant' to me. 'Synodality' for some folks, not for such as these.
Beautiful family! May they reject the Novus Ordo protestant light service and embrace the traditional faith. The bishop clearly will not tolerate respect to the Blessed Sacrament.
