Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest
Liturgy of July 5, XIV Sunday of the Ordinary Time
What a tenderness, profound joy, familiarity, filial confidence and unlimited trust shine through the words of Jesus to the Father that we’re going to listen to from the passage of the Gospel of Matthew next Sunday July 5.
It is this doubt-free faith that is needed in this beginning of the third millennium in which, both inside and outside the Church, incredulity and filthy passions are devastating and confusing the heart and mind of this generation. Blessed are those who, as St. Paul reminds us, by renouncing sin and submitting to the dominion of the Spirit will conquer that freedom that no one can take away from them.
