@Billy F I KNOW that Catholicism is post Messianic Judaism. However, most "Jews" living in the state of Israel are Jewish by Culture ONLY. Like people here in the west they are not interested in a religious life.
It is necessary that we remember to separate a few rogue Bankers/Elites from the normal, average resident of Israel. In the IDF there are Muslims, Jews, Bedouins, Atheists and Christians. They join the IDF to protect their Nation - NOT to conquer in the name of Judaism. As I said there are many Arab Israeli's in the IDF - it is not a Religious War on Israel's side.
Modern Day Israel is NOT a one religion state - it is a Religious Democracy. Netanyahu was interviewed by Jordan Peterson and he made it clear he expects Israel to continue as a multi-faith Nation. Now that would not be a good thing if the principal faith of Israel was Catholicism - but it is NOT! So we can only benefit from modern Israel being open to none-Jews practicing their faith. We can visit on Pilgrimages - which we certainly will not be able to do if Jerusalem is given to Islam as you well know. Christians dwell in Israel in relative comfort as well as Muslims. It is NOT the same in Gaza.
Maybe some Ultra-Orthodox Jews living in Israel (who refuse to fight in the IDF anyway) hate we Christians - I know that they are in fact guilty of removing key O/T prophecies regarding Christ - altering the words so Christ is not so apparent when the average Jew reads the text. THAT is again, the fault of those who translate the Hebrew Scriptures NOT the average Israeli on the street. The majority of Israeli residents have not even read the Old Testament! As much can be gauged in the Jews for Jesus type street evangelism videos. Most Secularist youth in Israel have no idea of Judaism & are open to debates - keen to gain knowledge about what others believe. See this video.
