“One chocolate-covered marshmallow treat, please!” The waitress, around 20 years old, at the Aachen confectionery and coffeehouse institution “Van Den Daele,” looks at me in dismay: “It’s now called a ‘chocolate kiss’.” I shake my head: “No, it was and always will be a ‘chocolate-covered marshmallow treat’ for me. In memory of Saint Maurice!” That's the last straw with her. With a disapproving look, she hands me the treat and ostentatiously turns to the next customer. Während der Aachener Mohrenkopf (s.
