Chaos: Vatican News Falsely Announced "White Smoke"

Gaffe after gaffe: VaticanNews.va, the official media of the Holy See, announced white smoke and thus a new Pope at noon today.
At 11:51 there was smoke that was clearly black. Then, at 11:59, there was indeed white smoke. It was a kind of tail of the still dissipating black smoke.
VaticanNews.va announced "white smoke" on X.com. It corrected the error within minutes of uploading.

Maybe as much fun as 1958 -- black, then white (Cardinal Siri elected??) -- then black.

POLITICALLY CORRECT CONCLAVE BEGINS TOMORROW: COERCED BY ITALIAN PENAL LAWS
The Hung Conclave and Italian Political Laws

A hung conclave begins tomorrow due to Italian political laws, which prevent cardinals from interpreting Vatican Council II rationally and affirming the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS) and the rest of Tradition. The cardinals adhere to the New Theology of Pope Benedict and Pope Francis, rooted in an irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II and the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office (LOHO).
Missed Opportunity to Halt Liberalism
Pope Francis and Pope Benedict did not stop the German synods by highlighting that a rational interpretation of Vatican Council II is an option. Such an interpretation would end liberalism and the New Theology, restoring traditional doctrine.
Rational Interpretation of Vatican Council II
I affirm Vatican Council II (rational) with the pre-1949 theology, where Ad Gentes 7 states all need faith and baptism for salvation (John 3:5, Mark 16:16). Hypothetical cases in Lumen Gentium 8, 14, 16, Unitatis Redintegratio 3, Nostra Aetate 2, Gaudium et Spes 22, etc., are not objective exceptions to Ad Gentes 7. Thus, Ad Gentes 7 aligns with EENS, and nothing in Lumen Gentium, Nostra Aetate, Gaudium et Spes, or Unitatis Redintegratio contradicts EENS. Vatican Council II is traditional and Feeneyite on EENS, maintaining a hermeneutic of continuity with the Council of Florence (1442).
Restoration of Traditional Ecclesiology
This rational interpretation restores the old moral theology and exclusivist ecclesiology, supporting the Proclamation of the Social Reign of Christ the King in all political legislation (Quas Primas) and the non-separation of Church and State to save souls from Hell. It aligns with the old ecumenism of return, supported by Ad Gentes 7 and not contradicted by Unitatis Redintegratio. A Catholic State with a Catholic constitution would grant religious liberty as in the era of the Papal States.
Collegiality and Liberalism
With the old ecclesiology restored, collegiality is not an issue unless a pope, cardinal, or bishop persists in interpreting Vatican Council II irrationally, fostering liberalism and innovation in faith and morals.
Consistency in Catechisms
The Catechisms do not contradict each other or themselves. Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) 1257 states that the Church knows no means to eternal beatitude other than water baptism, while noting God is not limited to the Sacraments—a hypothetical case, not an exception to the necessity of baptism. Similarly, CCC 847-848’s hypothetical cases do not contradict EENS or CCC 845-846. The Catechism of Pope Pius X is interpreted similarly. Ad Gentes 7 (all need faith and baptism) is not contradicted by Lumen Gentium 14 (baptism of desire) or 16 (invincible ignorance), as these are hypothetical and do not exist in human reality.
Impact on the Conclave
If all cardinals at the conclave interpreted Vatican Council II rationally, not confusing implicit with explicit, the Church would return to Tradition immediately. The traditionalist-liberal divide would end, as cardinals like Burke and Radcliffe would be conservative. Vatican Council II would no longer justify liberalism, such as homosexual unions, as Radcliffe, McElroy, Zuppi, and others could not cite it for such purposes.
Implications for Other Religions
A rational Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7) declares that Judaism, Islam, and other religions have good elements (Nostra Aetate 2) but are not paths to salvation. Mohammad is lost forever (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14), and Islam is not a path to salvation (CCC 845, 846, 1257). I respect all people’s constitutional right to choose their eternal destiny.
Post-Conclave Actions
After the conclave, lay Catholics in Arlington, Texas, could urge Cardinal Fernandez and Bishop Michael Olsen to affirm a rational Vatican Council II and EENS, the Athanasius Creed, and the Syllabus of Errors, as the Council does not contradict Tradition. In New Hampshire, Cardinal Fernandez and Bishop Libasci could be asked to affirm EENS and a rational Vatican Council II, as done by the St. Benedict Center and the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Legal and Theological Challenges
Solange Manchinoli, lawyer for seer Gisella Cardia, could ask President Sergio Mattarella, Cardinal Fernandez, and Bishop Marco Salvi to affirm a rational Vatican Council II and CCC, along with Creeds, Councils, and Catechisms interpreted traditionally. Cardia was criticized for theological errors. Archbishop Vigano’s college in Viterbo could inform the local bishop and Cardinal Fernandez that Vatican Council II aligns with the Athanasius Creed, which Vigano accepts. Dom Alcuin Reid at Monastere Saint-Benoit could request the new bishop of Frejuf Touloun to affirm Vatican Council II and Tradition, seeking canonical recognition.
Potential Resistance from Italian Leadership
If President Sergio Mattarella and the new pope continue interpreting Vatican Council II irrationally, what will the SSPX do? The SSPX rejects an irrational Vatican Council II but interprets EENS and the Athanasius Creed with the 1949 LOHO’s error, accepting a non-traditional conclusion. This breaks with the pre-1949 Magisterium. If the SSPX affirms a rational Vatican Council II, they meet canonical requirements to accept the Council, the CCC, and Tradition.
Traditionalist Position
The St. Benedict Center in New Hampshire, affirming a rational Vatican Council II, can demand that Cardinal Fernandez do the same, along with a rational EENS. The new pope cannot retain Cardinal Fernandez as Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith if canonists and secular lawyers demand he affirm Creeds and Church Documents rationally, requiring a review of the Vigano case.
The Church of the Future
The new pope will face a Church that interprets Magisterial Documents rationally and traditionally. Cardinal Fernandez’s doctrinal position is vulnerable, open to global critique.

All this talk of "visibility" and "invisibility" confuses me. Didn't Trent condemn the Protestant notion of the invisible church? But sedevacantists say the "church" in [not of] Rome is a counterfeit, conciliar, synodal, church. So where's the TRUE CHURCH? Is it visible? 🤔

P. O'B

But still nice to know that nothing changed after Vatican II. 😊

When Trent referred to the baptism of desire, it was to an invisible case. The BOD is always invisible for us human beings. So Mystici Corporis, the Catechism of Trent etc were all referring to a hypothetical case only. So LG 14( the BOD) does not contradict the dogma EENS or the rest of Tradition. There is nothing in Vatican Council II to contradict Feeneyite EENS.
