Pope Francis’ future tomb, at the feet of the Virgin Mary
It’s appropriate that his flesh will rot under the same roof as Cardinal Law’s.

The Catholic Thing
I would bet that those who are Catholic regarding abortion are, roughly, the same cohort who believe in the Church’s true Eucharistic Doctrine.

Elderly Belgian Woman Wants to Become 'Deacon', Sues Church
“At the moment” it is impossible. At this point, I think we can say that Nuchurch “deaconesses” are a “done deal.”

Civilize It: Unifying a Divided Church
@James Manning Of the relatively few people who care about the Church, more and more are coming around to traditional orthodoxy. And you’re probably right that they are trying to stem the bleeding. There’s just no chance that younger, more traditional Catholics are ever going to lend an ear to a forum that has McElroy and Flores, no matter who they are debating with. The bishops are receptive to any solution that doesn’t include restoration, or even taking a critical view of the past 60 years.

Falsely Accused: US Bishop Cleared Of Absurd Charges
What was absurd? Nothing has been clarified as to why he has been cleared. No priest who has ever committed any sort of misconduct with minors should ever be allowed to perform ministry at a parish, much less live in a parish rectory. The Vicar General is in charge of such matters. Perhaps we will find out that prior allegations were deemed untrue, but nothing is known about that as of now.

Vatican Museums under fire from workers, local residents
The bishops are famous for agitating for labor regulations that put entrepreneurs out of business, while arguing that they should be completely exempt from having to treat their own employees as human beings.

Divine Office and Divine Contentment: A Reflection on the Liturgy of the Hours and the Present Moment …
I guess that the new breviary isn’t going to be approved until 2026, at the earliest? I wonder if a full, four volume set will ever be published, considering that the vast majority of those obliged to pray it do so on their phones nowadays. I can only imagine what the full set will cost, given that the old 4 volume goes for around $200 these days. I would not be surprised if they print up a one …More

I can only imagine what the full set will cost, given that the old 4 volume goes for around $200 these days. I would not be surprised if they print up a one volume, excluding the Office of Readings, and then make everyone pay for an annual subscription to have a digital version.

Fr. Greg Boyle, Nancy Pelosi among Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients
There are priests like him everywhere. I know a priest who didn’t believe in voting, and had never registered, but did in 2016 so that he could vote for Hillary. He preached about it, in fact.
