Bitter Aftertaste: Date Set for Delayed Ordinations in Fréjus-Toulon

Coadjutor Bishop François Touvet boasts on his Facebook page (October 22) that he has reached an agreement with the Vatican on the ordinations of the Missionaries of Divine Mercy.

Six seminarians of the Missionaries of Divine Mercy will be ordained on December 1. Monsignor Touvet admits that the statutes of the community, founded nearly 20 years ago, state that its priests celebrate according to the Roman Rite.

Then he adds: "The use of the old missal is a concession that only the Holy See can [but will not] grant to a newly ordained priest."

Bishop Touvet uses many empty words: "trusting and peaceful dialogue," "favourable outcome," "different sensibilities," "work for unity," his "paternal concern," "accompaniment," and "trust" in the [untrustworthy] hierarchy.

RenaissanceCatholique.fr had previously reported that Bishop Touvet had agreed to the ordinations, which will take place during a Holy Mass of the Roman Rite, but with the new rite of ordination.

The founder, Abbe Loiseau, came from the SSPX...Then left because of the Consecrations...Joined FSSP...Left...Then joined one diocese, and then went to another....Now, they will be ordained in the Novus Ordo and celebrate the Novus Ordo...and they run a "traditional pub"....Should have stayed with SSPX in 1988 when Abp Lefebvre consecrated bishops. The wisdom of that choice rings like a Catholic bell in the desolate killing fields of modernism.

Modernist strategy: "boil the frog...degree by degree."
