Leo XIV Promotes Archbishop Who Participated in Pagan Rite
Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Dominic Kimengich, 64, as Coadjutor Archbishop of Mombasa. He has the canonical right of succession to Archbishop Martin Kivuva Musonde, who will turn 74 on February 10.
Monsignor Kimengich, born on April 23, 1961, was ordained a priest of Nakuru, Kenya, in 1986. He earned a licentiate and doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome (Opus Dei). Over the course of his clerical career, he served as parish priest, seminary rector, and vicar general.
He was appointed auxiliary bishop of Lodwar in 2010, became Bishop of Lodwar in 2011, and was transferred to Eldoret in 2019.

@De Profundis I read about that article..... and I heard... I'd also like to send you an article by His Excellency Philip Anyolo, Archbishop of Nairobi, Kenya, who forbade blessing same-sex unions. Seeing these positions, I felt that many local church leaders in Africa, including Kenyan bishops, were against promoting LGBTQ+. SECAM's statement came out later, too. I could be wrong, but I'm attaching two pieces of information for now. While it's natural to criticize wrongdoing, there are far more bizarre cases, so I'd like to step back a bit and think about it....

Bishop Dominic Kimengich seems to have many problems with liturgical matters, and I think it is right to strongly criticize him, but on the other hand, he strongly opposes the promotion of LGBT and indiscriminate abortion Ideologies, like many Catholic churches in Africa, so it seems a bit ambiguous... While we respect the traditional Latin Mass, we also need to be somewhat cautious, recognizing that there are cases like Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, the heretical Archbishop of Bologna, Italy, who champions LGBT and indiscrimition Abortion ideologies... In fact, there are too many appointments that are much more problematic than that bishop.... In any case, what is certain is that Prevost is another type of erroneous pope chosen to promote error in a new way, to solidify that error, and it is funny that it is not so surprising because there are so many appointments that are much worse than Bishop Dominic Kimengich's appointment....Lord Sacred Heart of Jesus.. please protect to your Holy Catholic church....
