Benedict XVI Suffers From Aggravated Kidney Failure
Benedict XVI is suffering from aggravated kidney failure which has worsened in the last few hours, an informed Vatican source has told NcRegister.com.
Additionally, he had a recent modification to his pacemaker about a month and a half ago to regularise his heartbeats. Pacemaker and kidney failure are unrelated.
In recent years, Benedict XVI has become noticeably very frail, immobile, and unable to speak clearly but various visitors testified to his mental alertness.
It is likely that Benedict is suffering from chronic kidney failure. This can be fatal and intensive treatment is always necessary, which Benedict does not appear to be receiving.
His Holiness, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, is the last Supreme Pontiff to actually look like the Vicar of Christ on Earth and dress in the sacred vestments of his Papal Office, including the red shoes, the fanon, the grand papal cope and miter and all. We have not seen his like since his untimely abdication from the Throne of Saint Peter and the Apostolic See. The visible and tangible beauty and the glory of his Holy Office is terribly missed. I can only hope that, when the time comes, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, will grant the Pope Emeritus the magnificent and majestic Papal Requiem he so richly and rightfully deserves.

I think when someone is 95+ they consider it better to just let the person pass away peacefully. Hopefully I live to be at least as old as my grandparents, early 80's, but I certainly don't want to linger either hooked up to machines or given drugs which just postpone the inevitable when I am old.
I'm glad I have a doctor in my family. My Uncle who was also born here, (1968), and not in Japan, is a Cardiologist. But he has wide experience also as an Internist. I asked him about Benedict XVI by text. He said that kidney failure is VERY common among people of Benedict XVI's age, and even with dialysis (which he would not recommend at that age), is likely fatal. He said the first signs of Kidney faiure are change in urine color and lessening of output, followed by itching of the skin, extreme fatigue, semi-consciousness, fever, and then as it advances, coma and death. Usually untreated except for palliative care, the patient dies within 3-4 days. My uncle said that in general, people of Benedict's age, and those in nursing homes, the doctor advises the family that dialysis is not recommended but to just let it take its course. Usually the patient is unconscious and in no pain. It might sound like euthanasia, but my uncle said nearly ALL doctors would not pursue intense treatment and dialysis for someone 95+ years of age. Most family members he said don't want to put their loved one through it at that age either. I suggest we all pray that our good Pope Benedict XVI is not suffering, and that by our prayers, he may know that he is greatly loved and admired by the entire Church. May God grant Benedict XVI a peaceful death, surrounded by those who love him. I hope he is given a magnificent funeral fitting a Pope. For Francis to arrange a low-key, simple funeral would be outrageous. I hope he gets the type of funeral John Paul II got....in Piazza San Pietro despite the cold, attended by diplomatic corp and kings and presidents. And I guarantee that the Piazza will be packed al the way down Via delle Concilazione for Benedict XVI, just as it was for JPII. I hope I am wrong, but I wouldn't put it past Berglglio and company that that is exactly what they are afraid of. A massive show of love for Benedict XVI would be a slap in their faces. But if they do not give Benedict XVI a proper Papal funeral, Francis will be hated even more than he is now, in Italy and elsewhere....which is considerable.
Archbishop Gaenswein suffered from Kidney failure problems Sept last year & was rushed to hospital as well, effects from the covidian jabs seems to be kicking in. God be with Pope Benedict XVI.
Kidney failure is the proximate cause of death for a great many people who die of old age. If he’s not on dialysis, which erodes quality of life, that doesn’t mean he is being mistreated. Pray for him, and for the Church.
