NEWS SHORTS Pentagon: 2027 Budget Does Not Include Military Funding for Ukraine

The Pentagon's 2027 budget, which goes into effect on October 1, 2026, does not provide for any further military funding for Kyiv. This reflects Trump’s deference to Russia over Ukraine.

However, as Military Review previously reported, today the Pentagon released $400 million in military aid to Ukraine, previously approved by the US Congress. The funds are intended for the aforementioned program for the production of priority weapons by American companies. Notably, this release occurred after a phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, in which the US President expressed his hope for a swift deal to end the war in Ukraine. Cynicism and hypocrisy? Or simply politics? [TopWar.ru]

So Ukraine continues to hold off the Russians despite the decline in aid, even from Europe. Their drone tactics are so effective, Russian gains have been completely halted. Ukrainian long range drones continue to take the fight into Russia with Ukraine confirming a strike on a major Russian refinery in Perm.

Meanwhile Russia continues to bribe men with lots of money to join the military. Those that do often are expected to pay their senior officers to keep them off the front lines. One soldier was even shot for refusing to pay a superior officer his bribe. That’s how corrupt the Russian army is. Joel Skousen World Affairs Brief
