Valladolid Cardinal Ricardo Blázquez, the president of the Spanish Bishops, publicly asked for forgiveness for unspecified clerical abuses (November 19).
“What a mistake what a huge mistake!” – Eulogio López commented on Hispanidad.com (November 20). He predicts that Blázquez’ 'mea culpa' will serve for new attacks on the Church.
López emphasizes that clerical pedophilia is “minimal, mi-ni-mal, especially in Spain.” Nevertheless Blázquez “walked into the trap like a goldfish.”
The cardinal was hoodwinked by a campaign of the anti-Catholic daily El País and the TV broadcaster SER, both belonging to the same oligarch.
“Those media do not care one minute about clerical pedophilia," López notices, “Their sole purpose is to denigrate the Catholic Church”, because their goal is not the fight against pedophilia but "against Spain’s re-evangelization”.
López stresses that El Pais did not bother to praise Blázquez’ Soviet-style self-criticism which it requested so much:
“They will just continue with their anti-Christian campaign, using now the incontestable proof of a self-confession. Stalin did the same and died in bed.”
