590 New Priests in the United States

During this year 590 deacons will be ordained to the priesthood in the United States. Their average age is 34. According to Georgetown University's Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate praying the rosary and participating in Eucharistic Adoration were crucial for the vocation of 75% of them.

Before the collapse there were c. 58,000 priests in the USA, 1/3 of which were in religious institutes.
Now there are c. 37,000 priests in the USA. To maintain that number, c. 1000 priests need to be ordained every year.
