Priest "Blesses" Gay Pseudo-Marriage, Bishop Takes No Action

Last Saturday Italian Father Giuseppe Gobbo blessed the rings for a gay pseudo-marriage of two lesbians (34, 37) in Schio, Northern Italy. After protests Bishop Beniamino Pizziol of Vicenza summoned Gobbo.
The case ended without consequences for the priest. Bishop Pizziol only released a press statement claiming that Gobbo was misled by "feelings of pastoral love". Priests should have more prudence and discernment, the statement says.
