No Children Enrolled in Catechism in Downtown Bologna
It is “worrying” that for the first time in 2026 there are no children enrolled in catechism classes in the Bologna central areas of Santo Stefano and Strada Maggiore, pro-homosexual Cardinal Matteo Zuppi told IlRestoDelCarlino.it on March 2.
“I would not interpret this as a problem of the absence or decline of family participation in the Church. The point is that the area has changed.”
Blaming Sociological Factors
Cardinal Zuppi believes that the reason for the decline is mainly that Bologna has become a tourist city:
“Speaking with parish priests, what now emerges is a changed reality: when they go to bless homes, they find no one, or almost no one, to bless. Instead, they find offices and B&Bs. There are fewer and fewer families.”
There is a problem in Bologna with Catechesis. The cardinal and the Bishops Conference in Italy interpret Vatican Council II irrationally and so are politically correct with the Left. This is the rational interpretation of Vatican Council II.The irrational interpretation is projecting LG 8, 14 16 etc as being explicit exceptions for AG 7 and EENS. It confuses what is implicit as being explicit, unknown as being known. Cardinals Hollerich, Grech and the Synods have to interpret the Council and Catechism only rationally like the pope. Cardinals Cupich, Roche, Radcliffe and McElroy agree with me. Vatican Council II with Ad Gentes 7 is aligned with 16th century EENS and the ecclesiology of the Mass at that time. Sources at the Vatican – including Rino Fischella and Paulo Ruffini, indicate with their silence and inability to deny- that for Pope Leo, Lumen Gentium 16, refers to an invisible case in 1965-2026. LG 16 is invisible for us human beings. We cannot meet or see someone saved in invincible ignorance. This is something obvious. Priests in Rome, who offer the Novus Ordo or Latin Mass, agree with me. No one is saying that LG 16 is a visible example of salvation outside the Catholic Church in the present times and so is an objective exception for EENS. LG 16 does not contradict EENS as it was known to Augustine and Aquinas. They both held the strict interpretation of the dogma EENS with implicit baptism of desire etc. Vatican Council II rational is traditional on faith and morals. It has let down the liberals. They can no more quote the Council to justify their innovation and liberalism. The Church returns to Ignatius, Xavier and Bellarmine’s concept of EENS with no known exceptions on earth. Pope Leo would agree when it is said that Vatican Council II is traditional, ecclesiocentric and no more liberal. This is a major theological change being forced upon the Church and the pope by the Council and Catechism. So if you are a traditionalist, you now are really following the pope. Like the pope at the time of St. Dominic Guzman, founder of the Dominican religious community, Pope Leo supports EENS according to Vatican Council II (AG 7). The pope and the Conciliar Church are now aligned with the exclusivist ecclesiology and salvation theology of St. Francis of Assisi. Pope Leo has to reject ‘the reforms ‘of Vatican Council II irrational (LG 16 is visible in 2026). With Vatican Council II rational and a return to the old theology, the liberal-traditionalist division in the Church ends. The division comes with the use of the Irrational Premise (invisible people are visible, LG 16 is a visible case in the present times). With the Rational Premise (invisible people are invisible only, LG 16 refers to an invisible and hypothetical case in 2026), we have unity on doctrine, since Vatican Council II is no more liberal. Taylor Marshall and Massimo Faggioli will have to affirm the dogma EENS, with no exceptions, to avoid schism. With Vatican Council II rational Pope Leo and Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez must affirm the Athanasius Creed and the dogma EENS or they will be in schism. With Vatican Council II irrational, LG 8, 14, 16 etc are explicit exceptions for Feeneyite EENS, the EENS of the Council of Florence 1442. So the St. Benedict Center in New Hampshire, USA would be in schism. Cardinal Fernandez still has imposed a Decree of Prohibitions against them. With Vatican Council II rational, Cardinal Fernandez and Archbishop Joseph Kennedy would have to affirm the Athanasius Creed etc, with no known exceptions.They do not do this presently and so are in schism. With Vatican Council II irrational, which has exceptions for EENS, the theology and spirituality of the Carmelites is obsolete. So the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican, laicized the Arlington Discalced Carmelite Sisters in Texas, USA. The bishop of Fort Worth Texas, Michael Olsen, interprets Vatican Council II with the Irrational Premise. If Pope Leo continues to interpret Vatican Council II irrationally he supports the polarization in the Catholic Church, which can now be avoided.
