Tiananmen Mission The Call 01

Mr. Jian Zhang, the hero of this documentary, was born in China during the Cultural Revolution. Like others of his generation, Jian was brought up in an education system indoctrinated with communist teachings. He studied hard, was an outstanding student, and aspired to devote his entire life to communism.
His life took a dramatic turn in 1989 when he took part in the student movement in Beijing. From early April, out of their earnest love for China, the students marched the streets, staged petitions in Tiananmen Square, and carried on hunger strikes to urge the government to change for the better. People from all walks of life, including workers, farmers, civilians, scholars and the police, came in the millions to support the students.
The dictatorial regime refused to budge and, on May 19, sent in troops to quell the students. As the commander-in-chief of the student security force, Jian organized and sent 13 security teams to key entrances to the city. With the help of the citizens, they successfully stopped the troops from entering the city.
Knowing the viciousness of the regime, Jians mother pleaded with him to leave Tiananmen Square, but Jian refused, declaring that he would stand in the frontline and take the first bullet if the troops attacked. He was true to his words. In the early morning on June 4, when the troops rolled in tanks and opened fire, Jian faced off the troops. At pointblank distance, a lieutenant gunned Jian down.
Jian was 18.
With the help of many good hearted people, Jian survived and escaped to safety in northern China. When he saw on television that Mr. Hou Dejian, a composer who was on Tiananmen Square, gave false testimony and claimed no one was killed in Tiananmen Square, he risked all to come out from hiding and found Mr. Hou to set the record straight.
Several years later, a star manager rose in the entertainment business in Beijing. His name was Zhang Gang. At 25, he was already a general manager, and by 28, he was a vice president of international company, and well known in the elite circle. Zhang Gang made good money and made good friends with high-ranking Chinese officials. Fame and money, however, could not change him inside he was Zhang Jian. Later, when he risked all for the third time to fight for the rights of some poor taxi drivers, the authorities found out who he really was. Jian had to escape China in a hurry.
Jian arrived in Paris in 2001 and found many of his fellow Tiananmen students who escaped China earlier had given up on their Tiananmen hope. Undaunted, Jian is determined to carry on. Through his study of theology, his understanding of Christianity and his interaction with Falun Gong practitioners, he has discovered a new mission: to save peoples souls from the satanic Chinese Communist Party.
