Dear Bishop Joe Vásque, In taking away the traditional Latin Mass (your letter below, Nov 6, 2024), you are depriving Catholics of what is most important in their lives — the proper worship of God. You are taking away from souls what is irreplaceable. You are doing this needlessly. Nobody benefits. Crushing spirtual orphans and widows in order to please the mighty is no defence. You will have no excuse for this on Judgment Day, except that you publicly repent before you die. To attempt to force people to attend the novus ordo is the equivalent play of ecclesial power as the sexual degeneracy of child abusers. You are trying to force those below you in the hierarchy to do something they find repugnant. You do not care one whit for their well-being or even salvation.
