No Priests: Seminary Produces "Lay Ecclesial Minsters"

New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond, 70, announced that he commissioned eight women to be “LAY ECCLESIAL MINISTERS” for his archdiocese.

Aymond wrote on Facebook.com (January 27), that the ladies “have prepared for two years at Notre Dame Seminary.”

The picture shows them with the staff of the institute. "Lay ecclesial ministers" are also known as ""pastoral assistants."
