Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, 69, the successor of Cardinal Burke as the Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, blesses on September 13 the new house of the Good Shepherd Institute in Rome (pictures of the home and of the blessing below, video).
This group is among the Old Rite institutes which are in Francis’ cross-thread. Associating with Roman Rite communities could easily bring Francis’ wrath upon Mamberti.
He is the last French Cardinal who is still in office.
