Mass Celebrated on a Stage OUTSIDE Polish Cathedral

The Archdiocese of Gniezno prohibited the celebration of Mass in the Roman Rite on May 24 inside the cathedral. Instead, the organisers of the 'Pielgrzymka Kościoła Walczącego' (Pilgrimage of the Church Militant) held the liturgy on an outdoor stage in on a public square in front of the cathedral.

The Mass was celebrated by the Portuguese priest Father João Silveira.

The pilgrimage, organised by the nationalist group Młodzież Wszechpolska (All-Polish Youth), began near the Museum of the First Piasts in Ostrów Lednicki. Pilgrims walked approximately 20 kilometres to Gniezno. The pilgrimage commemorated the 1,000th anniversary of the coronation of Poland’s first king, Bolesław the Brave.

The Gniezno Archdiocese publicly distanced itself from the pilgrimage, stating:

"The Archdiocese of Gniezno was not involved in organising the pilgrimage and had not granted permission for the celebration of the Tridentine Mass within the cathedral.' However, pilgrims were permitted to visit the cathedral for private prayer on the condition that they respected its sacred nature and refrained from making political statements."

Sounds like your typical leftist bishop.

So…was this a political group? Were they trying to use (misuse) the Holy Mass for political purposes? That would be an abomination.

Are bishops obedient to non-Catholic rules?
Do the bishops follow a religion that is not Catholic?

More suppression of TLM.
