Introduction
'The road is long, / we follow a star. / Slow steps and intrepid hearts / gazing with surety upon the Invisible. / We move toward the Event for its contemplation. / Three men, a star, a child, / and overwhelming joy. / Prostrate, we adore.' This poem was written during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, specifically during worship near the star marking the birthplace of Christ in Bethlehem. Today, Christ reveals himself to us in our hearts and showers us with gifts. What can we give to him?
