Heresy, which intentionally departs from the apostolic witness and mutilates its integrity, is perceived by the Fathers as the novelty that leaves the path of regula fidei and traditio and, by that very fact, departs from the historical reality of Christ. Arius is criticised precisely for introducing something new.[151] However, in view of the novum inaugurated by the event of Jesus Christ, it may be illuminating to understand heresy also as a fundamental resistance, both passive and active, to the supernatural novelty that opens up human thought and cultures beyond themselves – a novelty of grace to which the new language of faith expressed by the homoousios bears witness.

The most vile and insidious modernist language.

Listen to how they spin the consideration of heresy!! Before long they will be saying heresy is our unwillingness to listen and be open. They’ll relate it to the migrant crisis and our lack of charity. Finally they will seek to abolish the very idea of heresy as an antiquated concept, a result of rigid philosophical structures valuable to the times they in which they flourished but no longer needed in this day and age. It is VILE.

Yes, on December 22, 2022, Francis already said, for example, that heresy is the refusal to translate the Gospel into modern ways of thinking.
And even earlier, Ratzinger declared that the old category of "heresy" (especially when applied to Protestantism) no longer has any value (Ratzinger, J. A., The Meaning of Christian Brotherhood. Ignatius Press, 1993, p. 88).

The modernists are getting bold. Notice “perceived by the fathers.” They don’t believe in heresy. In their insidious way they are strangling Catholic belief and doctrine (viz Mediatrix and Filioque).
“Moreover they lay the axe not to the branches and shoots, but to the very root, that is, to the Faith and its deepest fibers.” -Pascendi
